AMVETS (American Veterans)
We are a "Not For Profit" Organization chartered by Congress comprised of U.S. Veterans and their Family Members to represent and promote their interests.
As a Nationwide Fraternal Organization, membership has many opportunities and benefits.
Sons Of AMVETS
Founded in 1983, Sons of AMVETS is a nationwide service organization comprised of male descendants and relatives of American veterans. As part of the AMVETS family we are united in service and dedicated to improve quality of life, advocate legislation for increased benefits and care, plus provide and support charitable assistance to veterans, their families, and community.
Most Posts have Ladies Auxiliary for female descendants and relatives of American Veterans.

Who We Are
Squad 89 in Northern Columbus Ohio
We are a local Veterans Fraternal Organization with over 600 combined members comprised of Veterans, and their family members. We share our common interests, camaraderie over a few drinks and games of chance. We sponsor dinners, breakfasts, and holiday gatherings. The different organizations meet monthly, hold fund raisers and work together to support the post and each other.
Veterans are the main focus and biggest part of the organization. The Sons(male) and Ladies Auxiliary(female) are family members of Veterans past and living that honor our Veterans Service and Sacrifice. We as a post reach out to all Veterans and fellow Veteran Organizations to improve, promote and educate on Veteran Services and Programs.
