VETERANS BUILD

This is an exciting opportunity to help Veterans, their families and our community. Help Habitat for Humanity to provide housing to a Veterans Family. The build is rumored to start in May 2024.

Please help spread the word and tell your Squad, and Post Members about how we at AMVETS can make a difference in the lives of Veterans.

Sons Helping Veterans

We have Craft Kits for Veterans provided to us by
Help Heal Veterans (HHV).
The Sons of AMVETS Squad 89 are proudly
providing them to Hospitalized Veterans.
We are looking for Veteran partners
and organizations that serve Vets to help distribute them.

We Participate in all Post Celebrations and Memorials.

Holidays, Celebrations and Memorials

The Sons are always in for doing their part. Whether honoring our fallen Veterans on Memorial Day, delivering craft kits to Veterans Hospitals, or donating to local charities, we are trying to do our part as members of AMVETS Post 89.

Post Support and Serving our Membership

Our projects range have a wide range. One of the Post projects is to take our turn at providing the Friday night Dinner and a Saturday morning Breakfast. We also have food concessions on particular evenings and afternoons. Our favorite occasions are the Tail-Gate parties and the Chili cook-off, where we scored 1st and 2nd last year.

We take on projects to help Veterans. Right now, we have over 2000 kits to distribute to our veterans. The kits are therapeutic craft kits. We are concentrating on those in convalescent centers and hospitals. We are looking at ways to deliver them to troops deployed overseas and away from home.
